Degree show, Manchester Metropolitan University: photos published

A quick follow up to the original Manchester Met University degree show (MMU) post: I’ve just got my hands on the published embroidery exhibition guide which includes 40+ photographs I took for the talented final year Embroidery students. I’m really proud to have taken part in the process of documenting the student’s work, it was nice to see them all yesterday at the degree show too: presenting their work which I became so familiar with last month. The photos look crisp, sharp and well-lit, they’ve also reproduced quite nicely in the glossy A5 printed exhibition guide....

Degree show at Manchester Metropolitan University

Documenting the art, textiles and sculpture of twenty seven final year Embroidery students was never going to be an easy task. But twenty-one hours later I’d  photographed of over eighty different pieces of art during a ruthlessly demanding time scale. Working fastidiously in a make-shift studio with three high-powered flash units, we had a conveyor belt of students scurrying through with different artistic creations.
