The pessimist's guide to a hopeful future

It really is a fabulous time to be alive. With greed, self-interest and fear right on trend, a planet on fire, and now a f*cking pandemic, what hope is there for the future?

Should we greet modern life with gritty cynicism and gallows humour? Or cheerful abundance and positive thinking?

And which got us into this mess in the first place? Is there room for both, if we’re to save us (and the planet) from ourselves?

Let’s find out, shall we?

In this podcast I’ll interview humans doing intriguing, purposeful things: real-life changemakers, feeling optimism, pessimism and everything in between.

We’ll find out what they stand for and why, what makes them tick, their personal philosophies, and how they relate to the world.

Perhaps how they lead, learn, crash and burn will tell us something about the human condition?

At the very least we’ll discover new ways to enjoy the total annihilation of all life on earth.

Your host is Chris Kenworthy, a professional coach who helps changemakers save the world. Disclosure: he’s also a floundering cynic and contrarian - vitriolic yet curious, and open to persuasion.

Expect more questions than answers, and laughter in the face of despair.
