Good luck doesn’t get any more timely than your wedding day landing in the midst of a summer heatwave. And that’s how fortunate Riley and Symone were on their big day at Cubley Hall in Penistone near Barnsley in South Yorkshire.
Their ceremony took place in a picturesque bandstand overlooking miles of rolling green South Yorkshire hills. With plenty of natural light and not a cloud in view we had a perfect setup for capturing joyful candid photos of Riley and Symone’s marriage. I had assistance from my second shooter on the day, Mark Dolby.
Riley and Symone chose me as their wedding photographer after seeing how happy the Bells were with their wedding photography. They asked me to capture people enjoying themselves, as events happen naturally with nothing staged save for a couple of formal photos for the mantelpiece.
Informal wedding photography makes everyone feel more comfortable. Unlike pricey wedding photographers I don’t monopolise your attention, meaning you’ve more time to mingle with your guests and enjoy your wedding day. And while you’re doing that I hover discreetly on the fringes capturing those precious spontaneous moments that unfold naturally between bride, groom and your loved ones.
