Why it’s gone a bit quiet here

When I’m not scribbling, another passion in my life is DIY. In fact, I’d say it’s gone beyond simply ‘doing it your (my) self’ – I’m now the proud owner of a mitre saw and SDS drill.

Like most humans I crave that connection with producing useful things – the end-to-end process of building something that solves a problem. Copywriting presses that button professionally, and personally, so does DIY.

So this summer I’ll be erecting a stud wall corridor, and beginning renovation of our basement into a useful space. During that time I’ll also be juggling my freelance copywriting and photography commitments, as well as an allotment.

Just in case you worry – that hopefully explains why it might all go a bit quiet around here.
